More Cuteness

Here is the picture of Jasper at his evaluation last week---the one that determined forever that he will not be a show dog. I hope he doesn't mind---I suspect he will find life with our family to be plenty fun and adventurous even without the thrills of the show ring.

I don't much care for beer bellies on men, but on a puppy, it's just too darned cute.

Poor Jasper. He won't be a show dog. But he'll be a star in your family.

He's adorable, milk belly and all.

Too much trouble to have a show dog! It'll be much more fun to love this cute puppy. And Jasper is so cute! (Or "adorable" to quote Grandmere Mimi).

He and his family will have many more friends outside the ring. And every trip he takes will be fun, not work. Lucky pup.

Oh, uh...right then. Cute puppy, BTW.

And David, don't forget to breathe.

Perhaps it is obvious to the others, but what precludes him? Is it just the belly?

I have only owned mutts, so I don't know, although I enjoy watching the dog shows on the telly.

Do you have Jasper yet? Looking forward to having a dog around to counter the cattiness of some blogs (written and intended in an entirely literal sense, by the way - if metaphorical cattiness was meant I could hardly cast stones)

David--it all depends on the man, of course... ;-)

Avie--the thing that precludes Jasper from being a show dog is that I don't have the time, money, or inclination to show him.

Two of the five people who wanted males wanted show dogs, so they got the two top-ranked males in the litter. Jasper ranked third of five. If I wanted to show him, I could, but I don't---and once I have him neutered, he's out for good.

Oh my! Trying to think of something to say that isn't "Awwwwww" or "Ooooooooooh" or ... well, you get my drift. He's sweet. My sister has a lovely cat named Jasper. Good name for good animal friends.

It's a dog's life!
