Thanks be to God!

Baby J. was born just after midnight last night---no surgery necessary. Mother and son are doing well.

Thank you for your prayers. I was very worried for M. and the baby and you can't know how much they meant to me and to Dear Friend.

So happy birthday, Baby J.---you're a lucky little boy!

And congratulations to the new family (and to the new grandpa!). May the blessings of God Almighty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be with you today and remain with you always.

I second that Woo HOO of PJ's! Now it's time for everyone to just sit and enjoy the quiet moments of sleeping mom, sleeping baby J., sleeping relatives (while you still can.) I think every time a new little one has appeared in my family, the "day after" is my favorite...lots of everyone just quietly marveling the wonder of the baby, watching him/her sleep after the whole ordeal, waking up and getting those first little meals, everyone enjoying all the cute little noises coming out of him/her.

Oh yes. Don't you love those little grunty, squealy noises that new babies make? And their amazing eyes? It's a wonderful thing. :)

Lovely! Congrats. That makes you a, er, step-friend-grand... never mind. "Adult who loves the kiddo" will do. Enjoy, and special congrats to Dear Friend! Welcome, baby J!
